| Oceanside, California - August 2008 |
In August, Marsha and I flew to California to see Connor, Lori and Tom. |
Connor is walking and climbing now, so 'Grandma' Marsha and Grandpa got to take Connor over to the playground. |
Connor is seventeen months old now and he headed right up the slide and down he went.. |
Then a little game of hide-n-seek with Grandma. |
Hey! Peek-a-boo! There you are! He wore us out!! |
Time to walk home and get a snack. |
And watch Thomas and Friends. |
We got to spend a couple days with Connor while Lori and Tom went to work. What did ya say Grandpa, I was watching Builder Bob. |
With every baby, the world begins again. I wonder if I can eat this?? |
The next day was hose day. Connor showed us how to fill the water pitcher... |
..and how to water the sidewalk and anything else closeby. |
This water is facinating stuff! But I think it's time for a rest. |
Connor has his own lawn chair for kicking back after a hard day. |
Hey a little help here? Please?? |
Ok I got it, who wants to play catch. |
Grandma Marsha, nice catch!. |
Ok, Grandpa. Go LONG! |
I'm ready! Throw it to me. |
Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!. |
BOOM he would say when he kicked the ball. |
You seen my hat Grandma?. |
I don't know how those shoes keep comin' untied. |
Come-on Grandma, I wanna show you something. |
Connor is doing really great, walking and runnig and climbing. Unless Mr. Lion tackles him. |
Dad! I was going to take my bath and Mr Lion tripped me! |
But the next day, they were best-buddies again. |
Actually Dad is my best-buddy.. |
Nice hat. (go on, click the hat!) |
On Marsha's last day we went down to San Diego to see the aircraft carrier Midway. It is permanently anchored in the bay in downtown San Diego. |
Midway was launched shortly after WWII. It served all the way up thru the Vietnam War and even into the firs Gulf war. |
A more modern day, active carrier can be see in the distance from the deck of U.S.S Midway. |
I don't know if Connor was as impressed as the rest of us. |
Outside is a huge statue commemorating the Life magazine photo depicting a returning WWII serviceman and woman kissing in Times Sqaure. |
