Las Vegas to Tennesee - March 2006
Getting outa Vegas, we'll be back for Barb's money someday.
Nice dashboard picture on the way to Boulder City, Nevada.
Hoover Dam forms Lake Mead. What a beautiful place. The sky was perfectly clear.
Formerly Boulder Dam,the frontside of the dam drops down about 600ft.
On the right is a new visitors center on top of the rock canyon walls.
The Nevada - Arizona state line is in the middle of the dam.
Looking down from the state line you can see the Colorado river 600ft below.
Hit the road again heading for Kingman, AZ. That would be where we would turn and actually start back towards home.
Meteor Crater is a mile wide crater. The meteor that caused it hit earth moving at 50,000 mph.
Nasa trained astronauts here for their trips to the moon.
Nice day.
Further on in Arizona, we followed a flat-bed Ford into a town called Winslow.
Just standing on a corner.
They have a bunch of corners.
We stopped in Santa Rosa, New Mexico for breakfast and found this cool dive spot.

the Blue Hole
it is over 80 feet deep.
On to Tennessee.
