New Orleans - March 2001
The end of March and early April, Emma and I were in New Orleans for a week at a <a href='http://www.devconnections.com'>computer conference</a>.

We stayed at the Sheraton Hotel on Canal street across from the French Quarter and Bourban street.

You can take the streetcars all over the city.  This one ran down Canal street outside our hotel.

Some of these trolleys are older than I am!.  <p>On Tuesday, Emma and I had dinner at the<a href='http://www.hob.com/clubvenues/neworleans/'> House of Blues</a>

Down along the Mississippi River they have some nice parks and an aquarium.

The Riverwalk is a nice shopping area and great views of the Mississippi river <a href='http://www.riverwalkmarketplace.com/'>New Orleans shopping!</a>.

What A great smile!  We had a nice time, the weather was in the 80's during the day and 60-70 in the evening.

On Sunday we took a ride on the street cars to old Lafayette Cemetary.  Parts of the film Double Jeopardy were filmed in this cemetary

The Cemetary is above ground and has markers going back to the early 1800s before the civil war.
