Texas / California / Tennesee Roadtrip - 2006
Barb and I traveled to Kim and Kirby's house in Georgetown, Texas to see them and Michael.

They have a beautiful house near a lake. The neighbors have cows and a donkey. We went to dinner with Mike, it was really cold.

We stayed the weekend and visited with Mike. We talked a good part of the evening and night.

Mike took us down to see the<a href='http://www.thestoryoftexas.com/'> Texas Museum in Austin</a> just south of Georgetown .

Mike was looking good and adjusting to being out of California. Like learning to scrape ice off his car! HA!

On monday Barb and I headed down the road to San Antonio to see the Alamo. It was still cold and a little bit of rain.

We stayed about 2 hours and then headed out of San Antonio. We made it about halfway to El Paso.

In new Mexico it started to get warmer and Barbara started to smile... a little.

Trains, trains and trains. Lots of trains across southern New Mexico and Arizona. My father would love this part of the trip.

Huge piles of dirt. They call them Mountains!

Then we saw huge piles of rocks.  They call them mountains as well!

Finally San Diego, and the Pacific Ocean. Barbara's first time there. She was thrilled!

She jumped right in and grabbed a surfboard and off she went to hang-ten.

Then over to Tommy and Lori's house in Oceanside. Barbara kept saying, Wow, California!

A beautiful house in Oceanside, just north of San Diego. About 6 miles inland, I wasted no time getting shorts on.
