| San Diego Zoo, - Feb. 2001 |
On Tuesday (2/27) Tommy and I spent the day at the San Diego Zoo. |
San Diego Zoo is known around the world and is home, among many, to three Pandas. |
Tom was fresh but the panda was tired, but both agreed to pose for a picture. |
Pandas can only mate once a year for a three day period. It's in their contract. That may be why there are so few of them. |
The gorillas spend time outdoors, we saw nearly a dozen. The gorilla can mate all year long! |
The Polar Bear Splash offers underwater viewing of the bears as well as a large above water area. |
At least a half dozen giraffe live at San Diego Zoo, some up to 18 feet tall. |
Heres two-tons-o-fun on-the-hoof. |
Me and a rhinos butt. (I'm on the left) |
Tom and an elephants butt. (no similarity). It was a perfect day, not hot, a little rain, lots of sun! |
